IWAN Developments: WordPress Migration, Elevated Into a Full Redesign
The Background
IWAN is a distinguished leader and pioneer in the real estate industry, with an 18-year legacy of excellence. Its portfolio spans 10 residential projects across both urban and coastal developments. IWAN's website was previously built on ASP.NET which made day-to-day content updates difficult for their internal team. Kaii Lab was engaged to migrate the site to WordPress, giving IWAN a CMS their own team could manage and edit with ease going forward.
The Challenge
The contracted scope was migration only: move the existing site onto WordPress so IWAN could self-manage content, with minor enhancements to the existing design along the way. But once inside the build, it was clear the existing design wasn't representing IWAN the way it should. It didn't reflect the brand's 18-year stature or its position in the market. Migrating that design as-is, just onto an easier-to-edit platform, would have meant carrying the problem forward rather than solving it.
The Results
Kaii Lab delivered the WordPress migration IWAN and went beyond the agreed scope and budget to also fully redesign the website, redesigning the UI/UX so the new, easier-to-edit site would actually match IWAN's brand identity. The result is a fully migrated, fully redesigned platform on WordPress: easy for IWAN's team to maintain going forward, and visually aligned with their market position.
